Adding charge methods
When you register for your Amazon Pay account, you need to provide a credit card that Amazon Pay validates, and also uses to apply charges if your merchant account balance becomes negative.
If you want to add the credit card information, complete the following steps:
Note: Amazon Pay can’t accept prepaid and debit cards.
- Go to Seller Central and sign in with your Amazon Payments merchant account.
- Click Settings, and then click Account info.
- Click Charge method, and then click Add charge method.
- Choose the marketplace for which you would like to add a charge method, and then click Add.
- Enter the details of the charge method that you want to add.
- Click Set charge method.
If you want to edit the credit card information, complete the following steps:
- Go to Seller Central and sign in with your Amazon Payments merchant account.
- Click Settings, and then click Account info.
- Click Charge method, and then click Manage charge methods.
- Click Edit next to the current credit card details.
- Enter the details of the charge method that you want to edit.
- Click Submit.
If you want to replace your credit card, complete the following steps:
- Go to Seller Central and sign in with your Amazon Payments merchant account.
- Click Settings, and then click Account info.
- Click Charge method, and then click Replace charge method.
- To replace your charge method:
- Choose an existing card
- Click Add a new credit card, and then enter the credit card details
- Click Set charge method.
